This is a journal set I made for the Amanda Westermier Memorial Rodeo/Silent Auction last month. I'm proud to say the set sold for over $50!

Mom's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to my part of Nicolette's Mom's Day Blog Hop.  If you're following along the hop, you should have come here from Jamie's  blog.  I had a different, more involved, project in mind when I started thinking about what I wanted to do for the hop, but ended up running out of time to finish it.  So, these are my "back-up" projects.  The tea cup and coffee cup are both from the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge.  These were my first attempts and I can see where they need a little "adjusting," but turned out okay.  They actually went together easier than I thought they would.  I cut the tea cup at 11" which made a good sized cup.  The biggest I could get the coffee cup to cut on the Expression was at 6" and it turned out pretty tiny.  I was only able to fit four of the Lindt chocolates in it.  Maybe a little bag of jelly beans or chocolate covered raisins would fit better.  ...

Officially Summer

Happy first day of Summer!  Thanks for stopping by to see my first creation for the The Scrapoholic 's Officially Summer blog hop. You should have come here from Sarah . I had so much fun creating this Surf Shack.  I've been thinking about it for almost a month now and finally did it.  It took me a couple of days to get it finished.  About halfway through, my thirteen-year-old daughter told me it was "too symmetrical".  I tried to make it a little more off kilter just for her!  The file is from SVG Cuts  and is the Peony Cottage.  I also used Beach Bum I and Beach Bum II to complete the Surf Shack look. The only cut I really altered is the front door.  It is the bottom piece of the surfboard from Beach Bum II.  I made it shorter and wider than a regular surfboard.  I used just plain cardstock for all of the cuts. LORDY,LORDY JENN IS 40!!!!

First and foremost, I'd like to wish my good friend Jenn a very,very Happy 40th Birthday!  I hope your day is absolutely fabulous. Now, down to business.  Jenn  is hosting a blog hop to celebrate this milestone birthday. if you are following the hop, you should have come from  Jill's Blog .  You probably want to go back to Jenn's blog and start at the beginning.  I hear there's lots of good blog candy along the way, and I'd hate for anyone to miss the opportunity for blog candy!  I chose to make a birthday banner for her.  Hopefully, it will be in her hands today for her birthday as I mailed it out last week.  As you can probably see, I didn't make a traditional birthday banner.  The number one song on Jenn's birth date was "Joy To The World" by Three Dog Night.  The "world" cuts are from Cricut's Give A Hoot Cartridge.  I used MTC for the font.  I also made fabulous purple crinkle ribbon from seam binding ...
