First and foremost, I'd like to wish my good friend Jenn a very, very Happy 40th Birthday!  I hope your day is absolutely fabulous.

Now, down to business.  Jenn is hosting a blog hop to celebrate this milestone birthday. if you are following the hop, you should have come from Jill's Blog.  You probably want to go back to Jenn's blog and start at the beginning.  I hear there's lots of good blog candy along the way, and I'd hate for anyone to miss the opportunity for blog candy!  I chose to make a birthday banner for her.  Hopefully, it will be in her hands today for her birthday as I mailed it out last week.

As you can probably see, I didn't make a traditional birthday banner.  The number one song on Jenn's birth date was "Joy To The World" by Three Dog Night.

The "world" cuts are from Cricut's Give A Hoot Cartridge.  I used MTC for the font.  I also made fabulous purple crinkle ribbon from seam binding and Smooch Spritz to string it all together with.

I wish I could've taken a decent picture of the whole thing.  If you could actually see the whole thing, it says, "Lordy, Lordy Jenn is 40!"

I have blog candy, three colors of hand-dyed seam binding ribbon and several colors of hand-dyed skittles/dew drops.  Leave me a comment including your email address in case you win telling me what was your best birthday gift ever to be included.  The hop runs through May 2, so I'll wait until May 3 to choose and post a random comment for the blog candy.

Now, on to the next stop at Shelley's.  Have a great day everyone!

  1. JAckie what a fabby project LOVE IT and im sure Jenn will too. such a neat idea.

  2. My best birthday gift ever was a "Francie Doll" that I recieved when I was 10 years old. Francie was Barbie's Modern Cousin, she wasn't as "built" as Barbie, my mother thought her more appropriate for little girls, lol. She had arms and legs that were bendable and really cool clothes and believe it or not, I still have her! My daughter played with her and I guess someday my granddaughter (hopefully) will play with her.

I love the banner you made, I think Jenn will love it too!
