Ghosts and Goblins...Day Two!

Thanks for stopping by to see my Day Two projects for Nicolette's Ghosts and Goblins blog hop. If you jumped in here, click on Nicolette's link to start at the beginning to see everyone's wonderful projects.  You should have come here from Robin.

I should have started earlier working on Halloween projects.  I am having too much fun and can't seem to stop myself!  My kids, ages 20, 18 and 14, are old enough they don't have school Fall parties anymore.  One of my favorite things for all school parties is making goodies for them to pass out to their classes.  Luckily, I have an adorable nephew who calls me "Favorite Aunt Jackie" who I can make goodies for.  I keep telling my sister he's my grandma practice.

I used SVG Cuts' Midnight Jamboree kit to cut these vintage-looking black cat faces.  The bags are just the cheap ol' brown paper lunch sacks that I bought on sale awhile back.  I rolled the tops down and put shredded paper in the bottom for a little filler.  I need to fill them out a little better.  Headed back to the Halloween treat aisle at Target to see what I can come up with.  I made the "Treats" banner with Make The Cut.  The font is Storybook.  The half-circle of the banner is more of the "pocket parts" I recycled from work, cut with Spellbinders die and painted candy corn colors with Martha Stewart's satin paint. The vintage suitcase I dug out of my abyss of a garage a few weeks ago.  There's great pickin' in my garage!  I need a cute little vintage table or some sort of stand to sit it on.  I think I will pass these goodie bags out to the trick-or-treaters, all one or two of them, that come to my house this year.

The hardest part about making the chandelier was waiting for it to cut.  Seemed like it took forever and I'm not very patient.  I used SVG Attic's Creepy Chandelier kit for it with a battery operated tealight.  The paper is from the Haunted pad from My Mind's Eye.  Its been hanging around my house since last year.  My husband doesn't say much about my paper addiction, thank goodness.

Thanks for stopping by to see my creations.  Don't forget to leave a comment.  Next on the hop is Sharon.  Her projects yesterday were fantastic!  Have a great Sunday!!!

  2. Cute, cute - I know what you mean about 2 treat or treat kids coming by - I actually prefer the kids go to party's because we have had some terrible things happen with candy that people pass out - thanks for day 2 of the hop - that Chandelier is a wonderful project as well - so much one can do with PAPER! Have a great week - I am off to finish the hop - thanks for the ideas! Gail utb01@att.net
