Butterfly Card
Here's another project for Jenn's 40th Birthday Blog Hop. You should have come here from Jill's blog. The butterfly is off of the Sentimentals cartridge. I've had it for awhile, but this is the first time I've used it. I actually looked at the butterflies on the Florals Embellished cart, but decided there were way too many cuts for my patience today.
I stickled the darker layer on top and added an extra layer on the bottom to pop it up a little bit.
I was thinking the butterflies would look really good on short dowel rods and put in the vase with the hydrangeas I finished up last night. Might have to make them a little smaller though.
I've had so much fun reading everyone's comments, I've decided I'll do at least two blog candy sets! Before you move on to the next stop on the hop, please leave a comment and tell me about the best birthday party you attended as a kid and don't forget to leave me your email if you haven't previously.
When I was in first grade I went to one of my classmates' birthday party. I remember playing the game where you drop clothespins in a jar, but have to drop them from your waist. The neat thing about the party was the prizes they had for winning the games. One was a goldfish in a bowl. Another was a small turtle in a bowl. Oh, how I really wanted to win that turtle!
Next on the list is Shelley. Be sure to see what everyone else has cooked up for today.

ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous! I remember going to someone b-day party and there were a bunch of games and one was bobbin for apples and I lost one of my top tooth while bobbin but got the apple while loosing the tooth!
ReplyDeleteI think the best party I ever attended as a kid was for a girl named Linda Lee. Her birthday was the day after Easter so we were off from school and her cake was a giant coconut Rabbit cake (it was so good) between the candy we had already gotten for Easter and the Easter candy we got at Linda's house I think I had a chocolate buzz for about 2 weeks! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love your card! May I scraplift it?

Your card is so pretty.Don't you just love Stickles!!! Growing up we didn't have much money and never really had birthday's. But my favorite one as a child is when I was 10 years old. My Aunt Betty made me a Pumpkin Pie and a little doll. And my Grandmother got me a belt. I was really excited. I am a new follower :0)
